Hello everyone,
Pardon my lack of French, but I really need your help.
I'm not very much familiar with talented Laurent Voulzy opus. But, back in early 90's, I've heard simply exquisite song from Laurent. The only thing I can remember about that song is that in the same video of that song… during the entire song, he is seating in the train cabin. The atmosphere of the video is elegant and the song is very catchy. But for life of me, I can't find it.
If someone could please tell me, what is the name of that song or album?
Thank you |

Hello DeFunnes (what's in a name...),
Thanks for your interest in out little fan site devoted to a very very talented singer-songwriter-musician-performer.
And congratulations for having very good taste indeed!
Are you from the UK or another English-speaking country?
If so, you might be interested to know that Laurent will be performing his first-ever show across the Channel on 14 October, at the Shepherd's Bush Empire.
Shall we have the pleasure of meeting up with you there? There'll be quite a bunch of us so-called 'April People' present that evening.
Take care,

You're welcome here, Simon Templar friend... (I saw your e-mail address)
Yes, the song you're writing about must be "Paradoxal système", as said.
All the best.

"System Paradoxal".
Funny, isn't it? _________________ We Are the Decider, and We Decide This is Fluff |

A vos marques... _________________ We Are the Decider, and We Decide This is Fluff |

"Milady"
_________________ We Are the Decider, and We Decide This is Fluff |

A l'époque de "Milady" (1974) ou de "Two To Tango" (1992) ? _________________ We Are the Decider, and We Decide This is Fluff |

How amazing...
Thanks for your kind words, Mr Mark...
"Mr. Mark, can you find for me
Someone strong and sweet
Sitting on my knees..." _________________ We Are the Decider, and We Decide This is Fluff |

Hello everyone. Thank you kindly for your warm welcome. Allow me also to apologize for not writing in French.
Between active usage of English and German, haven't use French actively, in a long, long time. Even further is
the path from written experience. I have utmost respect for your language and would not want to treat the same
in dilettante fashion. That is why I chose this way, I hope you can forgive me. Well, since I see that PhiPhi examined
the language side of Laurent choices, I had to comment this

Merci beaucoup Valérie
They say, never compare your heroes of the past to avoid disappointment. Well, this song passed the test of time.
After all this years I still find this song simply exquisite. Such a profound theme with certain dissonance that makes
the mood even more enjoyable. I've ordered a several CD's from Laurent, including Caché derrière
From what I've learned listening to some less known tracks of previous Laurent's works. He is perfectionist about his work.
Arrangements, vocals, he really takes production very seriously. I like that. The link you kindly provided also reminded me
about Les Nuits Sans Kim Wilde, I almost forgot about that collaboration.
Valerie, this picture of yours reflects a kind person in touch with the nature. I think you can recommend me a good vegetarian
restaurant next time I visit Paris

My user name is reflecting my hero : Louis de Funès
I'm ashamed to admit, while I was creating this user profile on your charming forum… I accidentally made a typo about his name into "funnes" -
moderator, please feel free to correct my user name into de Funès. This is particularly embarrassing because Louis is my hero, and in my humble opinion,
not one of the, but the greatest comedian ever. Every gesture of Louis communicates comedy, I adore him.

No, my native country is Croatia. Last time I was in France…let me think… yes, that was 1998. No plans to visit UK earlier then 2009 I'm afraid.
I'm a bit surprised to learn that this be Laurent's first show there. Considering his talent, it is a mighty shame if you ask me.
As I write this reply, just soaking into dreamy voice of Coralie Clement while listening to her CD. Sad that she has,
such a moderate discography. And Vinyl would grace that voice with even greater aplomb caressing that atmosphere.
